Brit A. You don’t have to publish every day to achieve most goals. You probably DO need to publish consistently (once a week, each Tuesday, twice a month…whatever works for you).

What may be more important is that your writing needs to have a consistent focus or theme. Publishing an article about baseball, then one about writing, then one about politics….doesn’t allow you to create a “brand” perception.

People like to know what your “thing” is, so they can decide whether you are likely to be interesting to them. When you are all over the place, it’s hard for that to happen. There are exceptions, but generally, try to establish some form of identity or voice.
