Coronavirus has resulted in what has been deeply buried coming to the surface — fear, anger, zenophobia, hatred, and specifically hatred and mistrust of the government affecting what people do and say every day.

The more people feel fear and threat the more they hunker down and look after themselves and those close to them, while at the same time, looking for people to blame (the blaming culture is again part of the underbelly of American life.

You’ve covered off one of the cultural issues, but others remain and grow incited by a mad, aggressive unstable “leader” fomenting division for his own reasons.

Most interesting thing to me: As the pandemic got worse, gun sales skyrocketed in the USA. If that’s not an exposure of underbelly mistrust and hatred, I don’t know what is.
