I’m disappointed…. For a writer, this is a rambling article that doesn’t provide what it promised in the title. To say, “They want you”, is about as vague an advice suggestion or expression of reader wants and needs as one can get.

And, while it may be true to some degree, it is not the whole story of what readers want. It’s egocentric to believe that all customers want is to get to know you. TRUTH: You aren’t that interesting. Neither am I.

Sadly, this reflects on a younger person’s preoccupation with self, so that it creates a perceptual lens about communication. It’s an extension of the “me” style of writing, the first person stories, that swamp us on social media, and have virtually no content. No expertise needed.
