I’m really sorry, @Alex Shortsleeve but learning modalities has been completely discredited in the research, and in particular matching models. I appreciate the work you put in to write this.
I AM comfortable with the idea that one needs to change modalities as this helps with attention, (shifting sensory channels) in any kind of instruction, but one also needs to NOT repeat information at the same time across modalities (which tends to reduce attention). Also requiring use of multiple modalities at the same time is not a good strategy.
