The possibility of influencing votes per se or perceptions of Clinton affecting the election outcome where more people voted for her than Trump isn’t sensible.
What IS sensible re: cause is how it worked out that the majority vote getter lost the election. She didn’t get the “right” voters in the “right” places to win the election.
