Michael K. Spencer I’m trying to weigh the pro’s and con’s here. I think most of us feel a bit creeped out by this in the hands of…well, anyone, and particularly those that mistrust and hate their own governments as is the case in the USA.

What I’m trying to figure out, apart from the abstract gut negative reaction here is what are the practical significances of having this in the hands of law enforcement? How does/will this affect the average citizen day to day?

Video surveillance, whether private or public, has made it harder for many criminals to escape prosecution, yet they also have a bit of the “creep” factor.

Any tech can be misused, in the hands of evil people. That doesn’t mean it’s not useful, just because there is a POTENTIAL for misuse.
