@Steven Johnson It sounds like you are assuming that decision-making is a rational, logical process that can be taught. The research I’ve seen on d-making suggests that the emotional component, if missing, results in a complete lack of ability to make any decisions at all.

If true, I’m not sure how that dove tails with your suggestions.

It’s also important to separate the prescriptive d-making process vs. how people actually make decisions in real life, and we are not that terribly advanced in understanding the latter, but quick to write prescriptions that fit nobody.
