Thank you for this. The more others encounter these stories, perhaps the less stigma will be attached, which is really important due to the surprising numbers on how many people take anti-depressants and tranqs.

I haven’t had a panic attack in years — they stopped once I had access to Xanax which is interesting because I never actually had to take a drug to stop these relatively minor (?) attacks.

The vertigo thing strikes close to home, since I had my first transient attack a few weeks ago as part of a cluster attack instance. Freaked out?! Uh, yes.

The Cognitive Behavioral Therapy approach has been recognized as being useful for anxiety and depression, as has Mindfulness training. The thing with both is one has to stick to it to establish new mental habits, which is hard when one is hopped up on adrenaline.
